Umpire Training
If you are interested in becoming a certified USSSA umpire send an email with your contact information (name, address, city, state, zip; home or cell number) to ccanthon@aol.com. The umpire training involves three weeks of classroom training covering rules and a two hour on field training session. Download, print and complete the open book Umpire Test. If you need a book send an email to Craig.
Umpire training for 2008 will be held on February 7th, 21st and 28th. Training will be held at the Evans Recreation Center, 1116 Hilcrest 75149 in the Seniors Annex in Mesquite from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. An on-field clinic will be held March 2nd or March 9th at 2:00 p.m. at Travis Williams Softball Complex. Registration fee is $75 ($50 for USSSA (certification/insurance) $25 - MSUA Dues).
Craig (ccanthon@aol.com) has a limited supply of umpire apparel (Shirts & Shorts [L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL], hats, socks and jackets) available for purchase.
